Californian based, Zero Skateboards was founded by professional skateboarder and entrepreneur Jamie Thomas in 1996. Jamie and the Zero team's ethos of skating death-defying gaps and rails became the benchmark for how far skaters were willing to push their limits.
Blind Skateboards created by skateboard industry pioneer Mark Gonzales in 1989. Mark Gonzales left the company Vision, for which he was a pro rider, to start Blind – the name being a subtle dig toward Vision’s name. Gonzales was soon joined by other pro skaters such as Jason Lee (from World Industries, today a famous actor), Guy Marino, Rudy Johnson (from Powell Peralta), Jordan Richter, Danny Way and others.
Since the early 90s, Blind has now become a highly prominent skateboard company.
